Day 3

Subject: [firstname]: Here's the answer to your question.

Hey [firstname]!

I'm willing to bet that after you read yesterday's e-mail, you went straight over to Google and typed in weight loss or dog training and discovered there were millions and millions of results.

Am I right?

So now you're probably wondering: Aren't all evergreen niches over-saturated?

Well, the answer is both yes and no.

Yes, there are a lot of well-established sites out there that are at the top of the SERPS, get tons of traffic and generate a small fortune for their owners. Likewise, because these niches are so competitive, paid traffic via sites like Google AdWords is very expensive and out of reach for most start-ups.

But there is a way you can get into a popular evergreen niche and still make a decent living: Drill down and find a sub niche.

What do I mean by a sub-niche?

Basically, it means finding a branch of a niche that is popular, but not very competitive.
For example, if you were to type weight loss into Google, you would get over 20 MILLION results, but weight loss for seniors gets only 515,000 not as overcrowded, and one you would stand a better chance of getting in to.

Likewise dog training gets over 15 million results; whereas, dog training poodles gets 229,000 results.

See what I mean?

There are a number of tools online tools available to assist your evergreen niche (and sub-niche) research. The most popular one is the Google AdWords Keyword Planner https://adwords.google.com/home/tools/keyword-planner/ which is designed to help people pick the right keywords for their AdWords campaign, but comes in handy for niche research, too. It has a neat graph that tells you how many searches are done for a particular keyword throughout the year, so you can easily identify an evergreen niche by its lack of peaks and troughs. Best of all, this tool is free!
